Coach Dain Swetalla

Dain Swetalla is a former international professional basketball player, current high-performance coach and coaching director for the Darebin Basketball Association, with nearly two decades of global experience. Having competed across Europe — including Romania, Spain, Portugal, and Serbia — and in Australia’s SEABL and NBL1 leagues, Dain earned back-to-back grand final appearances and a 2019 NBL1 Championship with the Nunawading Spectres, where he was named Finals MVP. Now based in Melbourne, he’s recognised for his elite player development expertise, leadership in building winning cultures, and his impact on the game through TWD Basketball est. 2014 that earned him Australia’s 858 National Innovation Visa for Sporting Excellence in 2024.
